Describe yourself --what years were you affiliated with the Columbia Film Division?
A graduate of CU Film School in the mid-80's, I spent years working in and about film (documentary and feature) and tv before becoming a full time English teacher at Crossroads School in Santa Monica, CA. Now I spend my days teaching film, mythology, creative writing, and still keep my hand in writing freelance critical essays, poetry, and short fiction. I live in a beautiful beach house in Venice, CA, with my 13 year old daughter, Aurora. It's an excellent life.

Drop a note to Ed McGinty if you want to host an event. I'd like to take some next steps regarding a physical meetup/drinkup for writers, but we've stalled on new membership of the CFW network, so I'm in a bit of a quandry about what to do....any ideas?

They are a good bunch - mostly a couple years out of school etc., but nice to be around that ambition and enthusiasm! They meet first Tuesday of each month for their board meeting. The next "events" will be associated with the CUFF in June. I think a panel on what to do for a living until you "make it" and then a cocktail party.
