We were referred to you by Christina Lazaridi, a professor at Columbia University. Ms. Lazaridi is part of our Script Competition jury, along with Stratton Leopold, an executive producer of Mission: Impossible III and Kary Antholis, an executive at HBO. Ms. Lazaridi told us that you were involved in the Columbia Film Association in LA and we wanted to extend an invitation to you and to the members of your association to attend our Screenwriting Panel on June 28th, 2008 at 10am in Hollywood at the Academy's Linwood Dunn Theatre for free. Ms. Lazaridi will be participating, as will Kurt Johnstad, screenwriter of the film "300" and Barbara De Fina, who frequently produces Martin Scorsese's films including "GoodFellas" and "Casino." This is an exciting event for anyone interested in film and we would be happy to have your group join us. I've attached a flyer which explains the event further and lists the other participants as well.

We have another Columbia connection as well - this year's script competition was won by a Columbia professor, Nick Proferes.

We hope to have you at the screenwriting panel. Please RSVP to this email address by Friday, June 20th. Thanks!

Thanks for this, and congratulations to Nick Proferes, one of the classiest and kindest
professors I had at C.U. - right up there with Frank, Samson, Dusan.
